People-First Leadership
Leadership starts with listening. I will work to keep City Hall connected to the community by engaging people early, communicating openly, and showing how public input helps shape decisions. By treating people with respect and valuing different perspectives, we can build trust, make better decisions, and create a stronger community together.
A Safe and Healthy Community
Everyone should feel safe and supported in their neighbourhoods, parks, trails, and public spaces. I will support strong emergency services, advocate for the healthcare investments and new hospital Brantford needs, and strengthen partnerships focused on prevention, early intervention, and access to care close to home.
Affordability
A strong community is one where people can afford to build a life, raise a family, age in place, and stay connected. I will focus on practical solutions that expand housing options, improve transportation access, deliver value for taxpayers, and make everyday life more affordable for the people who call Brantford home.
Growth With Purpose
Growth should strengthen our community and create opportunities for future generations. I will support thoughtful planning that brings housing, infrastructure, parks, businesses, and good jobs together while protecting Brantford’s history, neighbourhood character, and quality of life.

Brantford is special because of the people, places, and experiences that bring our community together. I will support parks, trails, recreation, arts, culture, local events, and welcoming public spaces that celebrate local talent, strengthen neighbourhoods, and give people of all ages more reasons to love where they live.
Meet Mandy Samwell
Community has always been at the heart of Mandy Samwell's leadership. For more than fifteen years, she has worked alongside people to strengthen neighbourhoods, solve problems, and serve the Brantford community.
Today, Mandy serves as a City Councillor and chairs both the Brantford Police Services Board and Social Services Committee, providing leadership on some of the city's most important priorities, including community safety and well-being.
From neighbourhood volunteer and community advocate to municipal leader, Mandy has built a reputation for listening, working collaboratively, and delivering results.
